Summary

The way you experience the relationship you have with yourself affects how you experience all of your relationships - to romantic partners, to family, to friends, even to your work. So, if you want to create more love in those areas of life, it all starts with creating more love for yourself. Luckily, that’s a skill that can be learned and that’s exactly what we do inside the Clutch, my monthly feminist coaching program. The Clutch is open now only for 72 hours, through midnight on Wednesday, February 8. Text your email address to +1 347 934 8861 and you’ll get all the info you need to join before the doors close.

Hello, my chickens. I want to talk to you all about the February letdown.

0:09.0

That's not really like an amazingly branded term for it. I'm not sure what we should call it,

0:14.7

but this is the thing that I experience and I know a lot of people experience and it is just this

0:21.9

sort of like deflation that happens in February. This has been like way since before I was a coach.

0:28.5

My friends in college and I used to have a rule that you couldn't make any life decisions in February

0:34.2

because you were apt to make really rash ones. I totally tried to like drop out of law school my

0:40.1

first year in February. I wanted to drop out. I've had other similar flights of fancy in the not

0:47.4

fun way in February. For me, the feeling of February is the feeling of like, oh, I can feel myself

0:53.6

sort of accidentally falling back into the way I've always been even when I'm trying to change

0:58.3

something. I still feel a little bit of that and I've done so much work obviously to change my

1:04.0

life and I have changed so many habits and I've changed so many relationships and I have changed

1:09.8

so many circumstances, thoughts and feelings in my life. I have changed so much and yet I feel that.

1:16.2

And that's actually one of the reasons that I decided to open the clutch for a few days this

1:21.7

month. Normally, we only open every six months. But we've been doing the private podcast of the

1:26.6

Love Hacks if you've been listening to that. And I did open the clutch for a few days for people

1:31.2

who had joined to listen to that private podcast series. And then I was like, well, I mean, I don't

1:37.6

want to open the clutch to these people and not give the people who maybe aren't listening to the

1:43.3

Love Hacks, but are listening to Onfuck Your Brain a chance to also join because I think this is

1:48.0

the time of year that committing to changing your life is actually the most important. Because

1:54.4

this is the time of year that you are sort of most likely to start to slip back into all behaviors

2:01.6

or hit your first obstacle or roadblock and a goal that you're working on. Have your first failure

2:08.7

feel defeated, right feel depressed about it sort of decide to give up. Like I just I feel like if it
