I had a breakdown.

I dealt with that breakdown by buying as much music from 2016 as was humanly possible,

and now I own over 600 albums that came out in 2016,

and I'm convinced it's the greatest year for music of all time.

Now on my usual podcast, perfect sounds, I always have a guest on.

I've sent them an album in advance in 2016 and we talk about that album.

This week, the album I chose was telephoned by no name and I sent it to Kima Bob.

And I know the money don't really make me hope.

The magazine covers drenched and gold.

The dreams of Granny and Mansion and Happy, the little things I need to save myself.

We really got deep into the album.

And one of the things that we talked about was

the scene that no name comes from, the Chicago music scene, the Chicago rap scene. It was one of

the things that I really got excited about when I was getting into all this 2016 music.

So I discovered this scene in Chicago and a lot of musicians that came out of there, Chance the Rapper,

no name of course, Jamila Woods,

there's Saba, so many people who all guests on each other's stuff.

So on this bonus episode, I thought we'd interview some of the key collaborators

on telephone. So you're going to hear a few voices in this.
