As a result, I now own over 600 albums that came out in 2016 and I consider it the greatest year for music of all time. But it's not enough for me being convinced. I also want to convince each and every single one of you

and a guest every week. I'm going to send them an album in advance, they're going to come in and we're

going to talk about it. This week, my guest is Sindhu V, and the album is Pop by Oval. These days, Oval is the solo project of Marcus Pop.

They started out as a free piece back in the 90s

where they were the pioneers of glitch music

and they used to scratch up CDs and sample them.

They did a lot of revolutionary stuff that a lot of people have copied.

went off in a different kind of a different direction back in

the day it's like an alternative timeline to what we're living in now what if club music was like

this and had gone in this direction his his version of what club music could have been it's a very, very special album to me.

Last time I had Sindhu on, we talked about Bottomless Pit by Death Grips, an album that I thought

she was going to find quite difficult, but she actually turned out, you know, she actually liked it

quite a bit. So I'm feeling optimistic about this, but who knows? She's about to come in now.
