Hey there, Improvised Star Trek listeners. This is Chris Rathchin with your news for the week, along with a bonus scene.

A lot of news for you this week, actually. The first big bit of news is a temporary, and I stress again, temporary departure of Mary Kate Walthall from the cast.

Mary Kate is going to be studying theater in London for the first six months of 2014,

so she'll not be joining us in recordings.

Now, don't worry, there are still a number of Zarlene Zonelsen episodes in the pipeline,

so you'll get to hear those before your Zarlene droughtonels and episodes in the pipeline, so you'll get to hear those before your

Zarlene drought begins. But just a heads up to those of you who love to give Zarlene-based

suggestions when we're recording. We're wishing her the best of luck there and are looking

forward to her speedy return. Also this week we can announce that there

are two opportunities to hear us talk about the show outside of the show. We have been guests

on two great podcasts recently. Griffin Eckstein and Julia Weiss were guests on the

Trekabout podcast. They are working their entire way through the canon, a veteran and a newbie.

The other podcast that happened this week is a Chicago-based all-purpose nerdery podcast called O.C. Dweeb that

Nick Wagner and Sean Kelly set in with.
