Welcome to the New Testament on our journey from Eden to eternity.

If you were like me, there might have been many times you wondered if we would make it here.

But God has graciously enabled us to persevere, and our journey now brings us to the life of our Savior.

Like our time in the Old Testament, we will walk through the New Testament chronologically.

In the days ahead, we will study the four gospels as the events unfold across each one.

Some days, we will be in just one gospel, while other days, we will read from all four.

So buckle up friends, it's going to be a fun adventure.

Today, we begin with Luke 1 and John 1 verses 1 through 18.

And in the days ahead, we will add Matthew and Mark.

These four men couldn't have been more different, but God used their exposure to Christ and the gospel,

and their skills, talents, and friendships to pin the four gospel accounts which provide us with a complete picture of Jesus.

Today, we focus on Luke and John.

Luke was a highly educated man for the first century.

He was a physician, likely from the city of Antioch, which tells us he was a Gentile and not a Jew.

Luke provides great detail in his gospel to help his fellow Gentiles realize that the Old Testament promises and prophecies are for them too.
