0:06.7	needs to get dealt with in order for us to move forward for ourselves as a person, as our family,
0:12.5	as a community and society. And I'm going to tell you some personal things about myself and
0:17.5	some perspectives in the Black Lives Matter movement. And I'll start with one fact
0:21.8	right now. What a lot of people don't know about me is part of my family is black. And I'm talking
0:27.3	specifically from the Caribbean and Africa because there's two locations for that. And the reason I
0:33.2	mention it is because as we are leaving comments on social media of who has the right to speak
0:39.4	about this or that, we don't always know each other's full story. Now, I'm not saying that
0:44.6	because I had any particular thing against me, but I wanted to tell you because I'm watching
0:48.7	sisters leave comment after comment of who gets to comment on the BLM movement or not. And I just want to remind us all
0:56.1	that we don't know each other's full story. And so I'm going to give you a bit of mind today.
1:00.6	My perspective is going to be of a mother raising black children in America as a Muslim.
1:05.2	And also, thinking about what is next. So the last podcast I had was on right after it happened with George
1:14.1	Floyd and then this whole movement kind of happened right after. But what's next? What should we be
1:19.0	doing with all this energy and these perspectives and how can we use them to actually make real
1:25.4	change? We're going to talk about it today. I'm excited.
