podcast. This week I'm honored to share with you a conversation with the artist Bobby Burgers. I was chatting with longtime listener

Rada Doray and she suggested I talk with Bobby. So thank you Rhonda.

Bobby is wonderful and we had a great conversation.

Bobby Burgers is an artist living in Vancouver Canada. She paints large-scale

portraits of flowers but as Bobby will tell you, these paintings are actually not about

the flowers at all. Bobby and I talk about her inspiration, where it comes from, and how changing

studios gave her the luxury of seeing the progression of

her own body of work.

We also talk about Bobby's reaction to having her work copied in Chinese art factories.

I have to say I love how Bobby ultimately responded to this

experience and how it has affected experimentation and her painting process. So we

also talk about art residencies. Bobby recently ran an

Instagram contest where the winner gets to come and hang out and work in her

studio for a day. That led to us talking about how changing things up a bit

really enables you to explore freely without expectations. So here we go. Here is Bobby Burgers.

Yes, well, I think this is sort of a regular question because I think it's it's a
