I am recording this meditation for Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas to you if you are listening to this as you celebrate Christmas.

Maybe you don't celebrate Christmas. You may celebrate other holidays.

In this meditation you will be guided for renewal and rebirth.

Inner Peace is a journey of renewal, constant ongoing renewal.

And as you do today's meditation you may want to stop and get a few supplies that can enhance your experience.

What you can do is to get some strips of paper and a pencil or pen.

Get a few candles and matches. And if you have a fireproof bowl or a shell, something that can hold a smudging stick.

Smudge sticks are becoming so mainstream, at least where I live that I see them in our grocery store now.

So you may have access to a smudging stick or any herbs. I have a rosemary bush outside and I often snip some rosemary and burn that.

To make your bowl fireproof you could use a pan with a handle on it so you don't burn your hand as you carry it.

And put some aluminum foil to line the pan and you could burn your smudge stick which is usually made from sage or lavender and even rosemary.

You could put it in there, light it on fire and it will smoke and I take a feather or you could take a fan and I waft the smoke around my space.

This is a cleansing ritual. It's a beautiful ritual to do on a holiday that you're celebrating or anytime you want to renew some aspect of your life.

Maybe you're doing a cleanse or detox. So you may stop this recording and get those items.

You don't need the smudging items. You can simply use the candle and matches, strips of paper and something to write with.

So you can stop this now and go get those items.

So to do this meditation you don't necessarily need those items. They will enhance your experience. You could visualize yourself doing the same kind of renewal ritual.

Then I'm going to guide you through. You're also going to be using a breathing technique because remember your breath renews you.

It's a process of renewal with each inhale and exhale you take.

This meditation is best done in the evening when the light is fading and night is descending.
