| 0:50.4 | within my role is the ability to talk to really smart people. |
| 0:54.0 | And so as I thought about it, I thought about two specific examples |
| 0:58.0 | that after breaking them down, I realized how I was actually shorting myself the opportunity to learn and the |
| 1:04.8 | opportunity to improve Morning Brew because my ego got in the way. And so the first example |
| 1:10.2 | I'm going to give is, you know, we all have conversations with smart people and more importantly |
| 1:15.2 | we all have conversations with subject matter experts who simply know more about a given topic or |
| 1:21.1 | domain because that person spends all of their time 24 hours a day |
| 1:27.0 | thinking about that thing when you're not thinking about that thing. And so that was |
| 1:30.7 | especially relevant for me early this week. |
| 1:33.5 | I was lucky enough to have a conversation with the founder of a disruptive retail company, |
| 1:39.6 | a company that rolled out instead of charging premium dollar for apparel, |
| 1:45.0 | charging a membership that you have access to and then you pay for a parallel at cost. |
| 1:49.0 | It's a phenomenal concept. |
| 1:51.0 | It's basically the Costco model, but for retail. |
