If you look at a country as being a hotel, what makes a good hotel?

Like, why would you pick one hotel over another hotel, Robert?

Typically amenities, location, reputation, um, restaurants, things like that.

Maybe safety too, right?

Yeah, safety. Yeah, I guess that was almost presupposed,

but yes. It is presupposed, but we often forget that. Like, you should treat any country as if

it were a hotel. You want people to come and stay there. You want those nice amenities. You want the

good restaurants. You want the scenery, you want the safety.

But if you look at what's happening in the world today, that's not what's happening for a lot of countries.

They're not focused on those things.

They're focused on trying to protect what they have by enforcing more controls and more rules and more restrictions on money, inflow. And that's not going to work,

just like it wouldn't work with a hotel. And I think there are wide reaching implications when you

start to go down this theory, because would you want to stay at a hotel where you have to pay half of your earnings to the

hotel while you're staying there in addition to the fees for staying at the hotel?

Probably not, right?

Definitely not.

Doesn't make any sense at all.
