as we get news that our listening figures are rising even faster than ever. And we're still the fastest growing radio station on

the planet. We're up 43% year on year, and people are listening for longer. That means they like

what they are hearing. It just goes to show that common sense is indeed popular. And I'd just like

to thank all of you for joining the Independent Republic in every increasing numbers. We know you love it and we even love those of you who listen because you

Coming up this morning, we've got a bit of a problem, though.

Apparently town halls up and down the country have been instructed to fly the Union flag

to honour Prince Andrews' birthday later this month.

And there's quite a few who don't want to do it.

And I think I'd be one of them.

We'll be finding out just how many other idiotic instructions they get from the government and how many times they're also asked to fly the flag

for various royal birthdays. I didn't realize we were still living in sort of feudal Britain,
