Hello and welcome to Big Picture Monday. My name is Callie Black here with all the context you need to totally rock this week's Come Follow Me readings.

This week is December 29th through January 4th, and we are studying the introduction to the Old Testament.

This is like a big picture for the entire year week, which is totally my jam.

I love it so much.

In fact, we did not get a week like this last time we studied the Old Testament.

The very first week of Old Testament come follow me in 2022 was jumping right into reading. So I love

that we have this little week of big picture, introduction, just kind of wrapping our heads

around the Old Testament because it is a very unique

book. It's even weird to call it like a book because it's just a collection of a bunch of

different books, right? All put into one, I guess that's what scripture is in general,

but Old Testament is just very unique in how it was even compiled. So I am so excited

this week, this episode. I'm just going to give you a crash course in what is the Old Testament,

how is it set up, what to expect, some things that will set you up for success as you are studying

this upcoming year. And there is just so much good content into here.

If you're teaching this week, if you teach Sunday school and you're like, what do I teach?

There's not an assigned reading. Like, what do I even do? I hope that this will also give you

some great ideas. You can even follow this exact format that I'm doing in the podcast episode

in your class, but just spend more time
