My name is Callie Black, here with all the context you need to totally rock this week's

Come Follow Me readings.

This week is December 1st through the 7th, and we are studying the final two official sections in the

Doctor and Covenants, sections 137 and 138. Don't you worry, we've still got stuff to study for the

next few weeks to finish up 2025, which is crazy, but we are finishing up the end of the Doctor and Covenants, like, regular

sections this week. And these two final revelations could not be more wildly different

from each other when it comes to the context, like the story for how they came to be. However,

the content of these revelations are like so perfectly tied together

that this is just a beautiful way to end our study of these official revelations in the

doctrine and covenant. So I just, I love them. They're just fantastic revelations. So let's start by rewinding the clock

back to when the Curtland Ohio temple was in the process of being built. Okay. I'll give you a few

seconds to get your brain back to that point in church history. We're in Curtland, Ohio,

some of the saints are in Missouri dealing with persecution, but they're in the process of building this temple, which the temple in

Kirtland was really just a large meeting house building. Joseph had felt this sense of urgency

to build this building, though.

Like, the Lord just kept giving these revelations to Joseph of like,

you've got to build this house of the Lord.

Took a couple years to complete.

But by the beginning of 1836, the building was about ready.
