As the Big 12 basketball scene hits the back half of January, I'm going to give you two teams I'm buying, two teams I'm selling, and two teams I'm holding right here on Heartland College Sports.

So in the wake of Saturday's games, I'll give you a team on buying, selling, holding,

and then I'll do round two as well. At the top of my list of a team that I'm buying right now,

it's the UCF Knights.

Now, I know you're like, wait, they lost on Saturday.

They fell to number one Arizona.

I get it.

I understand.

But they gave Arizona a run for its money.

And when you look at how this team played and the game of famous folks who had 30 points,

eight assists, he was lights out all afternoon. The Milwaukee transfer continues to impress. He's getting more comfortable under coach Dawkins. And this team showed depth and it showed balance and it showed grit against

the Wildcats, including racking up more offensive rebounds than Arizona. And that wasn't because

of size. That was simply because they out hustled and they were in the right place at the right time.

Now, UCF lost the game.

I get it.

But they continue to keep teams in check.

They've won some impressive games so far this Big 12 season.

And on top of that, they are one of the best three-point defenses in the Big 12.
