I've got three Transfer Portal winners and three Transfer Portal losers out of the Big 12 conference

for week two of the transfer portal window. I'm Pete Mundo, Heartland College Sports is where you find

us covering the Big 12. Thank you, as always, for being here as a part of the show. So I'll give

you three winners, I'll give you three losers and I'll bounce back and forth.

always and like the video as well. Same thing on the podcast. So I'll start with one of my winners

for week two. And I'll explain this just by saying this is not for the entire transfer portal window.

This is just what have you gained versus what have you lost in week two of the portal window.

So that's like January 9th to January 16th. So one of my winners in the Big 12 is the Utah Utes.

Utah is quietly having a very solid second week of the transfer portal window.

They don't have the splashiest class.

They don't have the biggest stars.

But their average portal edition rating is an 86.5.

That puts them in the top five in the Big 12. And some of those pickups

this week, they needed help at running back. They got it. Steve Chavez Soto, coming in from San Jose

State, had a very good freshman campaign, 448 yards and 87 carries, number 10 when it comes to

yards per carry in the Mountain West and seven rushing

touchdowns also top 10 in the league. They also got a solid nose tackle same place San Jose

State, Jir and Moe. Six foot 280, California, and a lot of these guys obviously out west,

and the third defensive lineman and fifth player on the defensive side of the ball

to sign with the Utes during this cycle. Of course, Morgan Scali is trying to rebuild or reload

that defense, I should really stay. And they also needed help along the offensive line.
