and it features two Nine Marks editors, Alex Duke and Sam and Mottie, talking with pastor and scholar

Jim Hamilton of Southern Seminary. Throughout the fall, they'll have a weekly conversation

where they walk slowly through the Torah, the first five books of the Bible.

Our hope is that these conversations will be enlightening for every Christian who's eager to learn more about God's word.

Don't think seminary lecture, think slowly strolling through the pages of Scripture to stop and enjoy whatever gems we might have overlooked.

I think what's important when you're reading these early chapters of Genesis is to recognize

that this is a description of the created order, but it's also the foundation for how we think about everything else that's going to happen in the Bible.

It's giving us pictures and images that are going to repeat or maybe even reverse throughout the rest of Scripture.

So this is foundational.
