Today's 10-minute walk is helping you keep the fitness promise you made to yourself,

When I started the podcast, probably for the first six months.

I actually don't remember. It was a long time.

I walked the same route every time I recorded it.

I would leave the house, leave the neighborhood,

come out to the main road near our community, and start walking.

And I would turn right, as I am now.

I would walk on this road.

And then where it ended, I would turn right again.

And there was what I used to call a road to nowhere.

And I timed it.

And when I got to the road to nowhere, or at least the entrance of the road to nowhere, that was 10 minutes.

And that's how I knew that the walk was 10 minutes.

And I walked the same route every day for months. And then I began to experiment and try some other places to walk and record. One of my

favorites is the wooded trail. There are a couple of access roads.

This area used to be part of an Air Force base. A couple of access roads that were part of that

base that are no longer used that I will use. And I'll walk there and record the podcast.

We've got some lakes behind our community, and I will from time to time walk along the lakes.

There's a field that I've enjoyed walking in.
