Imagine what it was like for Jesus when his disciples, the faithful followers that he grew to love betrayed him.

No one more so than Judas.

The Bible calls Judas a traitor.

Today on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall tells the sobering story of relational chaos.

It all happened in the final days of Jesus' life when the Roman politicians and religious

zealots were conspiring to kill him. Chuck begins now right where he

finished on the previous program. We pick up the study in John chapter 6. Chuck

titled his message, betrayed and arrested.

No one around you just would have chosen him as the traitor. No one knew except our Lord.

By the way, this is a great moment to add and a lot of us have been in small groups for a long time.

Wonder what it would have been like to have been in a small group with Jesus,

who knew the heart of everyone in the group. You could sometime fake it even among your close

friends, never with Jesus.

I don't believe Jesus even looked at Judas when he said this.

He just looked at the group and said,

one of you is the devil.

What a great moment for Judas to say,

help me Lord, help me turn, help me change, I'm the one.

You don't find that kind of vulnerability very often in a group, but sometime it emerges.

That's wonderful when one who was wrong says I was wrong and

turns. It's a great moment. The group invariably surrounds that individual, but Judas stays silent.

It gets worse.
