The people love Jesus, but the politicians of his day didn't know what to do with him.

To the general public he's the one who healed their diseases.

To the Romans he was trivial, an unimportant non-essential lunatic who needed to be gotten rid of but to a few he was

seen as truly the Messiah worth following. In life there's no question more important than this one.

Who is Jesus to you? To the Romans in the first century Jesus was a

rabbi who was out of control. To the general public Jesus was a man who healed the

sick. But to a few Jesus was seen for his true character. He was and is the Messiah.

we've come to a pivotal moment. We are learning about the Lord Jesus in his own

Matthew 26 and then John 18

as we behold the anguished dimension of the Lamb together.

Matthew 26, beginning at verse 1.

you know that after two days the Passover is coming and the son of man is to be delivered
