Hi, this is Dr. Mercola helping you take control of your health and today we are joined

with Dr. Leon Chateau, who's written a book about this and will help us understand the details

of the dangers and what we can more importantly what

we can do to correct this infection that's so common in so many people.

So perhaps it might be best to start

by explaining what your training is

and where you reside in practice and then what motivated you to focus

on this as an area of your personal interest and clinical interest. So I'm trained as an osteopath,

British trained, and I practiced in England for 30 odd years before moving to Greece,

where I live now, live both in London and in Greece.

In the mid-1980s, I began to notice a change or not a change, but an increase in the number of patients

who are coming to me with symptoms that I had not recognized as being as common as they had become.

There was an increase in digestive gut problems,

there was an increase in yeast- related illnesses that they were reporting skin problems of vaginitis and

fatigue was a major feature. So I was really concerned about what was producing
