Hi friends, welcome to the market with Janet partial. Okay, I'm talking to folk folks from Guam all the way to the Cayman Islands. Show hands, right?

How many of you watch detective stories on TV, right? I'm not giving their names some of them because maybe you're watching too many of them, but you watch these cold cases, you watch ID, you watch some of these investigations and I don't know, I don't know why it captures our attention, but it certainly does, but there are a couple of takeaways, even if you're not a detective, what does a detective do more than anything else? He follows where the evidence leads. It means he's astute. Does it not? Means he picks up on clues and that

by the time he's reached the conclusion of the who done it, the evidence is and I'll use a standard in the law. There's a preponderance of evidence that this individual will be found guilty and there's probable cause here to charge somebody, right? What if we took some of those same tools in our toolbox and we use that to investigate the claims of Christianity? Could we do it? Well, our guest certainly believes that Jay Warner Wallace is a date line featured cold case homicide detective. That's a mouthful right there. He's a wonderful speaker by the way.

The best selling author he consults by the way on cold case investigations to this day while serving as a senior fellow at the Colson Center for Christian World View is also an adjunct professor of apologetics at Talbot School of Theology at Gateway Seminary at Southern Evangelical Seminary and with summit ministries, one of my favorite ministries and he became a Christ follower a little bit later in life. I'm going to hold on that because I want him to share his story with you, but he used all of his skills as a detective to see where the evidence would lead and in his life it led to the foot of

the cross. He goes on, get some masters degree in theology from Gateway and he has gotten all kinds of recognition for his work and we're so grateful, but he's written a book that now has been updated and expanded. And I had the privilege of talking to Jim when it came out before and it was a memorable conversation then. And I anticipate today's conversation to be exactly the same. It's not more. It's now been updated and expanded. It's called cold case Christianity, a homicide detective investigates the claims of the gospel.

Jim, I cannot tell you how much I've been looking forward to this and I want to have a bunch of questions right out of the gate just as a background because you, sir, are fascinating in and of itself before we follow the clues that lead us to the cross.

What in the world drew you to detective work in the first place?

First of all, can you believe it's been 10 years since we first did that first interview?

I cannot believe that. I cannot believe that.

Well, it is true. I hate to believe it, but yeah, that's just all marching toward the grave, right?

Isn't that the truth for us?

There is something good that's waiting for us.

So that's the thing. But yeah, for me, I was not something I thought I was going to do.
