In 2009, famed atheist Richard Dawkins proposed a test for evolution. If Darwinism is correct, he claimed, every gene in a group of organisms will give “approximately the same tree of life.” On the other hand, if intelligent design is an accurate depiction of the origin of life, a designer would pick and choose the best proteins for the job, and genes would NOT all give the same tree of genetic resemblances. Popular media often jokes about people with a narcissistic personality type but for those who live with someone with a narcissist, there is nothing to laugh about. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we were joined once again by a woman who turned her journey with narcissism into a professional life of helping other navigate the myriad challenges that come with it. She answered your questions with personal and professional insight grounded in clear guidance from God’s word. Although the news is filled with crisis in the Middle East there are other battlefronts that are creating great concerns. We told you about the U.K. vote to approve abortion through birth and how the World Health Organization’s passage of the pandemic treaty is a clear and present danger to national sovereignty with its mandates for digital I.D. that will be used to control our lives including access to our money and even the freedom to have and use a cell phone. God is a creator of wonder and awe. Our guest gathered insights from people who are experts in many fields to help us develop our own deeper sense of wonder at the multi-faceted world that God created for us. Once again you came with your most challenging spiritual warfare questions as one of our favorite bible teachers joined us for another biblically grounded discussion of the unseen world that surrounds us. We all witnessed history being made this week as ongoing conflicts in the Middle East moved up to another level. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we had another enlightening and timely conversation with a highly respected expert on national security issues to dig deeper into Israel’s decisive action against Iran, who was financially behind the “No Kings” demonstrations across the country and more efforts by China to wake a “smokeless war” with the United States including efforts to smuggle toxic fungus into the U.S. and the advancements in methods to wage so-called “brain warfare” against our military leaders and others. The increase in confusion about sexual identity in our society today has created confusion and concerns in families across the country. We spoke to a woman who once lived a same-sex attraction lifestyle, who answered your questions related to the challenges of loving someone who is struggling with these issues. She gave clear, biblical answers to some of your most important questions. The younger generation today is less inclined to be interested in church or a personal faith than the ones that came before them. But our guests, two highly respected teachers and apologists joined forces to talk about what can be done to encourage these young people to own their faith and share it with those they meet. A new documentary delves deep into the mystery of miracles and whether or not they still happen in our 21st. century world. Our fighter for human dignity joined us once again to talk about more of the issues that are pushing the agenda of those who want to diminish our unique God-given role in creation including efforts by members of the U.N to give human rights to nature and the cruelty of Canada’s ongoing euthanasia program. It is time for us to join Janet and Craig for another in-depth investigation of more of the headlines of the week.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we opened the week with an important conversation with a man whose life was once dominated by same-sex attraction. He delved into his childhood and relationship with his parents to help us understand that these desires do not appear in a vacuum. He explained why so many use same-sex attraction as a means of attempting to heal the brokenness they feel inside and why an authentic relationship with Christ is the only true healing for such a damaged identity. Once again, we were joined by a highly respected apologist who used his own journey from Islam to Christianity to help us understand why the Muslim perception of Jesus as a prophet and a good man is honorable but misses the point entirely of who He is and why He came. Our guest delved deep into the historicity of the founder of Islam, how much dependable evidence for his life really exists and why there is so much at stake for Muslims, like himself, who choose to turn away from Islam and embrace Christianity. Domestic violence and attempted murder were the starting place of a powerful story one woman shared with us about how she learned what true healing and dependance upon God really looks like. Through her harrowing experiences she gave us biblical and practical insight on what it looks like to choose to truly forgive those who hurts us and to trust God’s goodness even when you can’t see it or don’t feel it. She explained how God can take even the worst thorns of brutality and blossom them into roses of healing and restoration, if we let Him. Are we really seeing the truth about what is going on behind the totalitarian regime of Iran? Our guest has been serving as a messenger of the gospel to the Iranian people for many years and he joined us once again to share more of the amazing stories of God saving and transforming lives in that nation. We helped you lengthen your prayer lists with more moving stories of people who refuse to recant their faith despite multiple threats including to their very lives and the lives of those they love. Join our favorite duo for another exploration behind the headlines as they seek to clear away the rhetoric and confusion by applying God’s straight stick of truth to demonstrate how crooked what we hear in the marketplace of idea is today.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

You know the old saying that hindsight is 20/20. We are now living in the “hindsight” of the sexual revolution whose promise of freedom and liberty has turned into a poison pill that compromised some of the most important foundational truths of our humanity. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week our guest laid out the history of the revolution and explained how abortion and the rise of transgenderism became the outcome of our national pursuit of libertinism. He also explained why a Christian sexual ethic is so important and how Christ-centered marriages are the antidote to the damages of the sexual revolution. Have you ever thought about the fact that every created thing that is , has been or ever will be ultimately finds its origin in the infinitely creative mind of the God who made us creative beings? Our guest helped see the bridge between creativity and ownership and why they are not mutually exclusive. Combing his wide experience related to ownership of intellectual property and patent law with his understanding of the Christian faith, he helped us understand why God allows us to have a limited form of ownership over our creative endeavors, why it is not counter to scripture to own intellectual property and why He made us creative in the first place. We pealed back a small corner of the veil that separates us from the supernatural world as a highly respected bible teacher joined us for a discussion of the realm hidden from our eyes, yet impacting our world, human history and the future before us constantly. Our guest answered intriguing questions like: What was the rebellion at the Tower of Babel really about?, Why did God destroy Sodom?, What are the roles of angels and demons in scripture and are they really at work behind world events today? We had the honor to share the insights of one of the most highly respected experts on Jewish studies and biblical history to give us timely assessment of the increase of antisemitism we are seeing on the news every night and why the role of Israel in prophetic history can not be understated nor ignored. It is time to turn out thoughts to more of the big news headlines from this week and examine them in the unflinching light of scripture as our favorite husband and wife duo continue to teach us how to use God’s word to discern truth from lies and purposeful confusion.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we tackled a subject that can cripple a life and a faith walk: anxiety. We spoke to a father and son team who educated us what exactly anxiety is and is not, why it is different than worry and how to use God’s word as a healing antidote to anxiety. Much like anxiety, depression can also take us down for the count. Once again, we turned to a friend of the program and a highly family therapist to address this important topic head on. She gave us a better understanding of what depression is and she addressed the need for the church to continue to show sensitivity to those who struggle with mental challenges allowing them to find love, understating and acceptance within the family of God. Once again, we visited with a highly respected evangelist and friend of the program who talked about some of the most common types of resistance that he encounters when sharing the good news and how to navigate them. He also gave us some important insights into how to share the gospel message with family members. In the push and pull of life it is so easy for believers to be so earth focused that we forget the greatest promise of God to His children, a life beyond this veil of tears in Heaven with Him forever. Our guest explained why God has placed the hope of Heaven at the center of the Christian faith. Through a series of biblical meditations he helped a gain a greater appreciation of this great inheritance while we trod the soil of the here and now. Prayer is an indispensable part of the believer’s life but is so often one of the most confusing parts as well. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we turned to a trusted friend and highly regarded bible teacher to clear up that confusion. He tackled topics like what prayer is and is not, why it is so vital to the life of the Christian and whether or not prayer can actually change the mind and plans of God. For many it is easier to believe that man is a machine with no soul controlled by the organ of the brain. But a highly respected neurosurgeon begs to differ. We shared the insights of this former non-believer who shared the highly personal story of how God reached into his life and made Himself known. Then relying on his more than 40 yeas of practice in the field of brain medicine, he explained why science has it wrong and that the soul is real and why the brain alone can not explain the existence of the mind. The homosexual agenda is coming for the heart of the of the Christian faith by bending the holy word of God to fit its ideas. We talked to former gay man who has spent his life drawing others in that lifestyle to the hope of Christ. He addressed the efforts of a new book to view the Bible, the people in it and Jesus Himself through the lens of queer acceptance. Our guest grounded us firmly in the truth of scripture to expose the fallacies and misguided teachings of those are pushing this agenda. We visited with our favorite missionary to the entertainment industry to hear more stories of how God is moving and working in the lives of these creative people. Then we talked to one of our favorite friends who shared more stories of Jesus changing the lives of people in the Middle East including Palestinians and Orthodox Jews who are turning to the Savior. What we expect from our future has tremendous power over our experience in the meantime―that’s why the Bible places the hope of heaven at the center of the Christian life. But even if we affirm the reality of our heavenly future, we often struggle to long for heaven, much less to connect the promises of the world to come to the concrete details of life in this world as it is. If and when we think about heaven at all, it’s easy to think of it like an insurance policy that will be there when we need it. But the Bible defines our future hope as an inheritance - a trust fund that is certain, inexhaustible, and freely accessible here and now. Our guest, Matthew McCullough, will offer a series of meditations that model how to draw on the hope of heaven for everyday life in the meantime.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

That’s a question countless people across the country started asking in 2012, Jack Phillips told two men who walked into his Masterpiece Cakeshop that he couldn’t create a custom cake for their same-sex wedding. And the question only grew more urgent as he had to defend himself first before the Colorado Civil Rights Commission and then numerous courts—losing at every step of the way until the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in his favor in June 2018. But for Jack, there are deeper principles at stake—principles too precious to abandon for the sake of convenience and safety. These principles should be of concern to every American, including our guest’s adversaries. If the freedoms he has sought to protect are lost, they may never be regained.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Aziz was more than an interpreter for our guest Chad Robichaux, a Force Recon Marine, during his eight deployments to Afghanistan. He was a teammate, brother, and friend. More than once, Aziz saved his life. And then he needed someone to save him. When President Joe Biden announced in April 2021 that the United States would be making a hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan, our guest knew he had to get Aziz and his family out before Taliban forces took over the country. Join us to hear a gripping account of two heroes and a daring mission that put human hearts and names alongside the headlines of one of the most harrowing moments in our history. How did the New Testament come to be? The ancient writings that comprise the New Testament are critical for understanding the life, teachings, and impact of Jesus of Nazareth, all of which are central to Christianity. But how were these texts circulated, collected, and given their canonical status? Is the New Testament a trustworthy source for learning about Jesus and the early church? New Testament scholar Charles L. Quarles will join us to address the most pressing questions regarding the study of New Testament texts, their transmission, and their collection into the canon.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

God’s prophetic clock continues to tick, but on this side of eternity there are so many questions about end times events that it is important to have clear, biblical facts to ground our understanding of what is to come. On In The Market with Janet Parshall we sort fact from supposition as our guest tackled some of the most challenging questions related to what is yet to come. How do we add spiritual heft to our walk with the Lord and so that we can stand firm against the attacks of the enemy? We turned to our beloved friend who normally joins us to answer your spiritual warfare questions, to learn more about why it is important be doctrinally sound in our faith. He addressed the confusion that often shipwrecks believers and took us once again to God’s word to ground us firmly in His truth. The ideology of transgenderism has grown in acceptance at a rapid rate across the country. But our guests explained that what is being touted as evidence-based truth is in fact an ideology with psychological underpinnings that give it an air of credibility. That in turn is leading to struggles for individuals and families by creating gender confusion and in many cases severing family bonds. One of our guests, who himself lived for a time as a woman, used his story to explain how there is a way back from this confusion and how it is found in understanding God’s design for all of us. It is impossible to escape the reach of artificial intelligence or, as it is more commonly known, AI. But as believers we are challenged with bigger questions than the average person. Is this something that should be included in our ministry efforts and if so, how? Our guest who has served the Lord for decades as a software engineer, joined us to put AI into perspective helping us to understand its impact for good and bad to the Church as we move forward with this new technology. Class is back in session as our favorite husband and wife team invite you to join them as they continue to teach us how to fight for our families by using the sword of God’s word to cut through the rhetoric and confusion in some of the biggest headlines of the week.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Don’t be fooled, the fight for the lives of the pre-born doesn’t stop just because the political climate in Washington D.C. changes. On In The Market with Janet Parshall, a regular guest on the program addressed the ongoing battle against the abortion pill that has gone from being an outlier to one of the most widely used means of taking the life of the unborn. He warned us of the inherent danger of this option and why it may be time for this drug to have more government regulation over its distribution and use. Then we took a hard look at the recent massive power outages in Spain and Portugal where millions were without power after a celebration just weeks before in Spain where they touted 100 percent energy from renewable sources. Our climate expert addressed whether this is a neon warning sign to the United States about our own futures if we turn to complete dependance on alternative energy sources and whether or not this is the first major sign of what he calls “the green breakdown”. Is it possible that the anxiety and depression that many believers struggle with is less physical and more spiritually rooted in how our personal relationship with God operates? Our guest explained what an “insecure attachment to God” looks like and how it can have a dramatic impact on our mental wellbeing. She also explained how repairing that connection opens the door for God to share His healing story through our lives as a platform to lift up and encourage others who struggle with their own attachment relationship with Him. We boarded another radio flight to the land down under for more enlightening conversations with our favorite Scottish apologist. He addressed the effort to redefine womanhood in Scotland and whether or not believers should support corporations that support abortion among other thought-provoking topics. We gave you the opportunity to hear from a respected attorney who detailed a recent religious liberty victory out the Chicago Public School system and what the larger scale ramifications of this win means for religious liberty across the country going forward. We also spoke to that man who has turned statistics into powerful tools for ministry as he laid out the findings of this year’s American Worldview Inventory and explained why we are seeing significant faith shifts across the nation. Once again, we invite you to join us for another important discussion of the news of the week through the lens of God’s unchanging truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
