God is a triune God and He's three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

A solid grounded belief in God requires belief in all three parts of the Trinity, but for

many Christians, that belief simply doesn't exist.

Here, to unpack present-day issues from a biblical perspective, is Jen at Partial.

The Cultural Research Center of Arizona Christian University releases an annual survey called

the American World View Inventory that evaluates the worldview of the U.S. adult population.

Of an estimated 176 million American adults who identify as Christian, just 6% or 15 million

of them actually hold a biblical worldview.

That means that while a majority of America's self-identified Christians, many who identify

as evangelical, believe that God is all powerful, all knowing, and is the creator of the universe,

more than half reject a number of biblical teachings and principles, including the existence

of the Holy Spirit.

Many in this group hold views clearly in conflict with traditional teachings, and only 9% actually

possess a biblical worldview, according to Dr. George Barna, CRC Director of Research.

Seven out of 10 Americans use the word Christian to define their faith, but hold views that are

incompatible with Scripture.

For example, 72% argue that people are basically good.

71% consider feelings, experience, or the input of friends and family as the most trusted sources

of moral guidance.

64% say that all religious faiths are of equal value.

58% believe that if a person is good enough or does good things, they can earn their way

into heaven.
