oh, oh, oh, Shalom everyone. It's me, Leo. We're getting ready for the high holidays and for the new year and with it new and big and exciting things.

But we just couldn't wait this week to bring you the conversation you're about to hear. It's with a man I consider

a friend, a teacher, a hero, though that last one tends to embarrass French intellectuals.

He's the one and only Bernard-Enri LeVie,

the philosopher, writer, filmmaker, and man in full.

He spent decades traveling to the front lines of dangerous and forgotten wars from Afghanistan to

Mosul to Libya in these last few years Ukraine.

Waking up and hearing the grim news on October 7th,

23, Bernard got on the first plane he could find to Israel.

He was one of the first journalists in Kibbutzk Faraza, one of the worst hit in the attack,

reporting from the border when Hamas terrorists were still hiding in the Kibbutz's fields and exchanging fire with the idea.

In this, in subsequent visits, Bernard saw Israel fighting for its survival.

He also saw the shocking betrayal of so many others who should have known better,

ambassadors, academics, artists who chose to stand not with the Israelis fighting

justly, but with the murderous terrorists masquerading his victims.

In a fit of fury, he wrote his latest book published just this week.

It's called Israel alone, and it's a short and explosive work of bearing witness, of dismissing

the worst lies we frequently hear about the Jewish state

and of reminding ourselves what it is that we're fighting for.
