You hear the benefits of compost itself, but what about the benefits of vermicompost?

to be said about the differences between these two things.

And really, let's just dive into worm castings, what exactly are they?

And what are the benefits that they give to our garden?

Sure, worm castings is just a nice way of saying worm poop.

And it's just the end product of the process of vermicomposting.

So there's, of course, benefits of the end product.

There are also benefits of the process itself, even if you're never using the worm casting.

So when it comes to the environment, it's kind of important to know

that your household food waste is the heaviest food waste you have

because of the water content.

And because it's heavy, it takes a lot of carbon dioxide to expel out of these trucks

to take it to the dump or even to another compost facility.

The other thing, too, is that when that food waste breaks down,

it's going to create methane, which is far worse of a heat trapping gas

than carbon dioxide.

So any time that you can do composting or vermicomposting, honestly, at home,
