I don't think you have to do things for money anymore. Correct. What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. And today we continue our week right before training camp starts to discuss sort of what we're looking for during this first portion of the season. It feels like a new year and Christmas all wrapped up it at once

in a lot of ways. And one of the fun parts of this time of year is always the training camp

battles. Who's battling for what job? Is there a starting position available? Are there

battles off of the bench, which I think is more of the case with this Lakers team? So I'd love to talk

about that with you today.

I'm of the opinion that with Vando kind of questionable right now,

that the starting five is a fairly obvious one, and there shouldn't be really a job available.

Now, there are lineups that I definitely think should be explored throughout the year,

and maybe we find something down the line that's, you know,

that's more workable, whatever. But I think that if Vando is out, it's a fairly obvious five.

Are you of that same opinion, D? Or do you think that there's some job or some role available in the starting group? No, I think that the starting spot should come down to either Vando

or Rui, long time listeners of the pod, know where I lean

in terms of that direction. Like, I would actually be hopeful that Vando would be sort of ready

for camp because I'd love for there to be a true camp battle between Vando and Rui and, like,

may the best man win, sort of opposite sides of the same coin
