It's Tuesday, November 12th, one week after the election.

So I was wrong about how there would be gang violence following the election.

If there was a fight, it ended in the first round with a knockout punch I did not see coming.

Trump won by democracy, fair and square. His party, his gang,

now controls all three branches of our government, and they did it without violence or even breaking the

rules. There's simply more of them than there are of us, and in a democracy, the majority rules.

I've heard many reasons why Kamala Harris lost, but again, I don't think reason has much to do

with the situation we're in. I think we're way more in the realm of belief. In this election,

if anything, was a victory of belief over reason.

It shouldn't be hard for us to see. The belief is written on their hats, make America great again.

It's the name of their gang, Maga. It's the belief that everything can be made whole

by going back to the beginning, a sacred time

when God shed his grace on America, the beautiful.

It's the story I grew up with in white churches

and white schools.

In the beginning, God likes us the best. We are his chosen,

most righteous, and he gave this land to us so we might build his kingdom on earth. We told this

story all the way across North America and then kept going around the world. It's this story we're telling the Palestinians

now. It's this story that makes us great. But it's also not true. Nothing in it is true. It's just a

big lie we use to justify genocide and slavery and even social classes, our worst behaviors

towards other human beings. I don't want to go back to that beginning, and I thought most

people in this country don't want to go back to that beginning. Kamala Harris in her campaign kept saying, we're not going back.
