He's the co-founder and CEO of a company called

A Vale, which is an online platform for DIY landlords and their tenants. So he had this idea, and I won't

ruin it for you, but this idea that he was a need in the marketplace for all of these landlords that were just too busy and no way to manage their properties.

So you know I'm a big fan of having property managers manage your properties.

But a lot of times you need to manage properties yourself or you get to a certain level and

it's certainly something you want to do so that maybe you're not paying a property manager at a certain level.

So tell us a little bit about, you know, go back to when you kind of started this process.

I imagine you were a real estate investor before you saw there was a need for

for landlords to be able to manage their properties with some kind of software that made it easy and not

frustrating.

Yeah, that's exactly right.

So when we started the company, my co-founder and I, he and I were both working for large investment banks here in Chicago and we were also separately on the side managing properties and we found ourselves managing properties with spreadsheets, pen and paper,

paper checks, and we found that that presented two main problems.
