| 0:00.0 | Welcome back to part 2 guys of Women of Empath with my girl Coach Stormy. I'm your homie Lisa Billu and man this part is so freaking fire. When I tell you this woman has so much spice in her and so much energy and freaking bad also we I couldn't stop talking to her and man is she sharing today all of her secrets that she has used for her to build her unbelievable resilience even though she faced the death of her mother. She was a teen mum, she got divorced, suffered with postpartum depression and went from her highest highs to her lowest lows, she was still able to embrace her spice, got vulnerable and rebuilt herself better than before. Now guys, it doesn't matter where you are today. It really doesn't. The only thing that matters is what are you going to do to become the person that you want to become. Who you are today is not a reflection of that. And so in this episode, she shares the strategies on how you can actually take ownership of your life and your dreams instead of stuffing them in the closet. And let me tell you, on top of all of that, her tactics for you killing your ego so that you can finally become unstoppable is genius. I get it, we don't want to look ourselves because it's very hard. But the truth is the wisdom and the gems really do come by looking inside yourself, taking the ownership and seeing what you have to do differently in order for you to show up differently. So let's just actually jump in guys because this episode is so freaking fire, I don't want to waste another second of your time. So I'm Lisa Bilyu, welcome to Women of Impact, my girl coach Stormy. Can I be honest with you? I love this. I thought that what captivated me about you is the fact that you're a black woman who carries herself with confidence and doesn't pretend to be anyone else. And I find that extremely attractive because I as like the little girl really wanted that. Like I was very in, I was in admiration a lot when I was younger of seeing women that carried themselves in a way where they make no apologies. |
| 2:05.2 | And when I saw you, I was like, oh, you make no apologies. And it isn't just that you make no apologies is that you own who you are. So like you said with your tats. And now you put it together with what we've traditionally been taught of women with tattoos and they have this and they go, joy, how you perceive them to the reality. I'm like wow, you're this incredibly successful woman who doesn't take share who has respect |
| 2:29.4 | for others. Like I saw all of this in the moment that I met you of how you were interacting with Marina, how much you showed your respect. I saw you with your fans, how much grace you gave them. So I was like, it was interesting that you didn't fit into a bucket. and the idea that you didn't fit into a bucket was attractive to me because I want to keep being that person. |
| 2:49.0 | Wow. So, I think to the same point, if you had tried to minimize who you were, if you tried to cover up, if you tried to be your inauthentic self, that isn't the true woman that shows up today, tatt, jewellery and all as a, and try to attract to you. Exactly. You know what's so interesting? I had that question come up the other day like, why do you do it? And you just hit it on the head and you gave me, thank you, you gave me confirmation because I want to be different. I don't want to blend in and for a long time Lisa, I was afraid of myself. myself. I didn't want you to see me. I didn't want you to ask me no questions because what if I didn't know the answer? That's why I tell people the greatest project you could work on is yourself. You should always work on two projects. Yourself is a project and a project because I want to be ready when people like you approach me. Like you got to stay ready so you don't have to get ready. So the only the only way that you stay ready so you have to get ready is if you always in preparation mode, right? So for me, I want to be that person that you number one you see Right and it's sometimes maybe the jury like normally like this is very light But you know, honestly, I think that as I grow more mature to my energy Into the room before even into the room and and And that's important. And I think that most people need to understand that. For me, do whatever you gotta do to get attention. Money follows attention. Do whatever you gotta do to get attention. Just make sure when the spotlight is on you, you're ready. You know, Judge Mathis, do you know Judge Mathis? No. Okay, Judge Mathis, okay, is the longest standing judge been on TV. So I don't know if you ever seen a judge show. |
| 4:26.6 | Yeah, I love that. |
| 4:27.4 | Okay, so Judge Mathis was on for like 35 years. Whoa. And he was someone that I, you know, connected with. And I never forget he said, stormy let me tell you something. As you evolve and you get around, this is exactly where those white people, They're gonna tell you to calm down. |
| 4:43.8 | Don't be so dist, don't be so that. |
| 4:45.9 | He said, let me tell you something. |
| 4:47.0 | The reason why I've been on TV for so long is... And so, since that's work, those white people, they're gonna tell you to calm down, don't be so dist, don't be so dead. |
| 4:46.0 | He said, let me tell you something. The reason why I've been on TV for so long is because I stay authentically me. However, growing your authenticity, but don't change. He said, that little spicyness you got, that little edge, that is what makes you separate from everybody else. He said, I'm begging you. He said, I know you're going to go on to do great things. |
| 5:05.2 | He said, don't lose their little spice you have. |
| 5:08.6 | That's what makes you unique. separate from everybody else. He said, I'm begging you. He said, I know you're gonna go on to do great things. |
| 5:05.1 | He said, don't lose their little spice you have. |
| 5:08.5 | That's what makes you unique. |
| 5:09.8 | And that's what's gonna give you longevity. So that's why I'm always learning new things. I read something recently about, and I know you heard about the Ike guy, right? You know about the blues on? Yes. The blues on? they live to level 100. So do you know the four things they live on? The |
| 5:24.1 | four philosophies? No. It's called the Icke guy. And the four philosophies they |
| 5:28.4 | live on is number one, do only what you're good at, do only what you love, do what makes you money and find your way of contributing to humanity. That's how they live. They don't believe in anything else, but those four philosophies. for me, like once I understood that too, it took me to a whole other level because like I try to hire my weaknesses. If I don't like to do it, I'm not going to do it. Because I understand that to stay elevated, you have to do your very best in everything. I'm very big on I'm working in the spirit of excellence. And even though I'm not perfect, none of us are perfect. My goal is to try to be as excellent as I can so that when I do show up with the tattoo and I do show up with the diamonds, they're like, oh, I love what people say. You're not what I thought you were. And I listen to some of these. I've had people, can I give you a hug? Why? I want to apologize I see you. I'm like, why? I judged you. I misunderstood you. And I wanna say thank you. |
| 6:29.4 | And I just to apologize to you. I'm like, why? |
| 6:25.7 | I judged you. |
| 6:27.0 | I misunderstood you. |
| 6:28.4 | And I want to say thank you. And I just want to hug you everywhere I go. People say, can I please give you a hug? Because they judge me somewhere or another. And they just want to tell me sorry. And I always say, keep that energy. Don't judge anybody. because you never judge a man by his success, |
| 6:44.5 | but what he had to overcome. |
