Summary

Romans 9:10-13 - And not only so, but also when Rebekah had conceived children by one man, our forefather Isaac, 11 though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls— 12 she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” 13 As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”

Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you are ready to get

0:08.6

your mind aligned with the truth of God. I say that phrase over and over but it is so important, especially

0:47.6

Who will be the children of his promises, those who inherit his promises, and who will not be the children of his promises.

0:56.1

Now we have been ill served by church leaders and theologians and historians over the years,

1:04.0

I believe by so much emphasis being put on a concept we call free will.

1:11.0

Now let me put into disclaimer here. I believe we as human beings have free will.

1:17.0

We have the ability to choose, but not ultimately. We have free will within the boundaries of what we are.

1:28.0

And what are we?

1:29.0

We are flawed and failed human beings.

1:32.0

We are limited in our comprehension and the scope of what we can

1:35.6

understand. We are imperfect and unable to see the bigger picture all of the time.

1:43.2

And that means within that realm,

1:45.1

that context of imperfection,

1:47.1

we do have the ability to choose.
