Hello, welcome to another episode of Pop Bear Hikes.

All right, we're ready to switch to Daylight Savings Time, catch you next hour, Daylight,

which means it's time for me to start putting my winter camping gear away and reflect

on his past winter.

I'm talking about my five favorite reasons I like to winter hike.

Starting with number five, the cool gear.

I'm a bit of a gear junkie, so yes, I like buying new things, new gear to test out.

Some of it I actually was able to use out in the Catskills.

Reason number four, I like to winter hike.

But sliding.

I don't know if anybody has ever tried it, but sliding is kind of like falling, but you

make the decision to fall.

It's not like you lose your balance or your leg slips or something.

Now you make a decision, you say, hey, that's steep, I can just sit on my butt and slide

for a little while.

A lot of fun.

I highly recommend trying it, but only in the winter when it's safe.
