Summary

We have our friends Matt Lombardi and Kevin Moran on the show today. Kevin and Matt founded the startup company BEAM. We are talking today about the challenges of launching a “start-up" company, and living the entrepreneurial life. Kevin and Matt come from an athletic background. Matt from pro Hockey, and Kevin from pro Baseball. These guys are no stranger to risk and hard work. We talk about how the athletic training and mindset, helped prepare them for an equally risk entangled life of launching a new business, and making it a huge success. Starting a new business is never easy. Hearing these guys talk about what they went through, what worked, what did not, might be just the conversation you need to hear to help plan your start up. They share some great stories and useful advice, from the hard path they have treaded to create the company Beam. Kevin and Matt have always been active guys. as avid cross-fit competitors, ironman triathletes, marathoners and former professional athletes, pushing their bodies and minds to the brink. When the aches and pains from that lifestyle started taking a toll, that’s when the search for a remedy began. They wanted something that met their personal wellness standards, but the road to finding a product that was all-natural and transparent about ingredients was frustrating, so they created their own, using high-quality hemp that’s effective, natural and non-toxic.

But we also are very aware that ego and greed would be our biggest downfall. So we really

0:47.1

hold on to needing to be right or wanting to be right too much. So I think the thing we've done really

0:51.5

well so far and you continue to do is just

0:54.6

we always look for what's right so if it's my idea Kevin's idea someone else is on the

seems right versus, oh I need to hold on this opinion because it was my own. So is there a process?
