This conversation has been through quite a journey. It started with me

really loving a column that was coming out on an app called Lucid at the time. Now it's called Imprint.

And it was this series called Philosophy in the Meaning of Life. And every Tuesday, John would,

I guess John and these illustrators would create these philosophy lessons

that were beautifully illustrated and bite-sized and were just really enjoyable.

And this came out of time when I was really trying to distance myself from social media,

tried to read a lot more.

And this was kind of a compromise.

Instead of picking up the phone and reading news or social media at the time, I could pick up the phone and read one of these lessons by John Cagg.

So I asked him to be on the show.

I was incredibly excited.

I actually found out kind of what a big deal he was in the academic world after he was already booked from

we love him and we had a great conversation we had an amazing interview the problem was and

this is where the twists and turns really start to come in. Something went wrong with my recording.

And so John sounded fine, but my track was nearly completely inaudible.
