I left the house this morning pre-sunrise, clear skies.

I walked out and looked up and a sky full of stars.

And now I can see the early sunrise.

It is a beautiful morning. It is again a chilly morning as

to be expected here in January. Our winter, not as cold as what I was used to in Maryland,

but it's still cold.

I'm still bundled up.

Still wearing my ski cap.

I don't know why it took me so long to figure this out.

My ears are sensitive, and when my ears are cold, I'm just not, I'm not happy

and I don't want to be outside. And for years, I just dealt with cold ears and then finally

bought a ski cap that was thick.

And I called that my magic hat,

because when I was wearing that and it was covering my ears,

it was like, oh, my goodness, I can actually enjoy being outside in the winter.

And so even though the ski cap that I'm wearing here in South Carolina isn't quite as thick as the one I would wear in Maryland, I will still wear it often.

In fact, I started wearing this back in, I guess it was November.

Not every night.

Ava and I would go out for a walk.

And if it was chilly enough, I'd grab that ski cap, still wearing shorts, hoodie.
