I've got, when I leave the house, I can go in a bunch of different directions. Literally, I can go straight, I can turn

right, I can turn left, and whatever initial decision I make, and I begin walking in that direction,

I've got throughout my walk other decisions that I can make, left, right, straight. And I can probably create, depending on how

long I'm going to walk, I can create a bunch of different routes depending on the mood that

I'm in, depending on what I want to see, what I don't want to see, who I want to see, who I may not

want to see. And I love that. When we lived in Maryland, I didn't have those options.

It's pretty much one option, walk in the neighborhood.

Anyhow, I'm walking past a lake, not the normal lake, not the lake behind our community.

This is a different lake, so I went in a different direction.

And I'm looking at the lake, which is calm at the moment.

I tend to do most of my walking early in the morning before the sun comes up.

And that's not always the case in the warmer months when the sun is up really, really early.

Now, as we have less daylight, although we're getting more, you know, the days are getting longer,

that's one of the encouraging things about the first day of winter back in December.

It's like, okay, first day of winter, it's just started, but the days are also starting to get longer.

So we're getting more daylight, but I still tend to be out here before the sun comes up.

And I'm looking to see if there's anything happening in the lake that is worth talking about and there is not.
