schemes today, looking at 1 Peter chapter 5 verses 8 and 9. So if you have a Bible, take it out.

All right. Before we dig into the scriptures, as is our custom, we should pray together.

Our God, we are grateful that you've given us your word, and we're grateful that it reveals

to us things like the devil's existence and the reality that he's opposing us. We ask you to teach

us today.

What we need to know, not in a sensationalized way or a way that's overblown, but in a way that's

very real and practical and down to earth that we can apply every single day of our lives.

We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

All right. First Peter 5, 8 through 9 says this, be sober-minded,
