Hey there, friends. What if I told you I had placed a million dollars in a bank account

and they put that bank account under your name. And I gave you all the data and information

you needed about where the bank is, what the account number is, who to talk to with the bank,

so you can go and access

that account and access your million dollars. What difference would that make in your life?

Well, I want to submit to you, it would make no difference in your life. Unless, number one,

you believe me. And you go take action to discover that indeed what I said is true.

That illustration is one I want to be ringing in your mind today as we dig in to 1 Peter 5, 8 through 9,

because we're going to learn today how to resist the devil effectively,

and it has to do with something I just mentioned in that illustration.

So we're going to get to that in just a moment.
