Hello, I'm Anna Foster and welcome to the documentary from the BBC World

Service. We're bringing people together to discuss what's happening around the

world. This time our focus is the renewed conflict over the territory of

Nagorno-Karabakh as tens of thousands of people feel forced to leave their

homes and seek sanctuary in Armenia.

It's believed that nearly 120,000 Armenians, virtually the entire population,

have left Nagorno-Karabakh over the last two weeks. It follows a lightning

military operation by Azerbaijan. We'll hear about some of those difficult

journeys across the border and what awaits in Armenia.

Some people are just accommodated in kindergarten, in schools, in almost all the

hotels, hostels, already accommodated people from Nagorno-Karabakh.

One of the main things that are in deficit now in Armenia are just simple

mattresses.

Before we hear our conversations, let's just take a brief moment to paint a

bit of a picture for you. This is one of the world's longest running

conflicts and disputes. It's over the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and goes

back more than a hundred years. This time, Azerbaijan forces seized the
