So we have kicked off Labor Day has come and gone which means we are kicking off our more

granular coverage of the midterms and I'm starting my week off in the state of Arizona.

One might call it the epicenter, at least on the right side of the aisle of election denial

is the statewide ticket features. This is Trumpi is any statewide ticket, any battleground

state. So it is good of a place to start to see, to take the temperature of voters.

I've been doing that and another thing that I do weekly is a way to sort of keep my eyes

in Arizona as I speak with KTAR every Friday morning in Jim Sharp at his co-host Jamie

and Jim my apologies for for blanking on Jamie's last name.

Jim and Jamie every week grill me on sort of not just what's coming up on Meet the Press

sort of the state of politics and the state of Arizona has been an integral part in so

much of our politics over the last six months.

But Jim's got a great background who's I would say you're a recovering political strategist.

Is that a fair description?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, fair enough.

We've dabbled a little bit on my side of the world in journalism, dabbled a little

bit in activism on the right and I think has his ear to the ground particularly in Phoenix

and the right side of the aisle is anybody.

Am I setting you up fairly?

Yeah, I think so. I started out in the media was actually a war correspondent in Iraq
