and Erwin Raphael McManus. Good morning, Deb. Good morning. I'm so excited about this new offering we have.

I know. I'm very excited. Most days, we will just jump right into the scripture with a little bit of a

welcome. But today we wanted to introduce you to a new Bible study that we are doing together.

Both of this is a part of our challenge as our 21 days of prayer to dive a little deeper each

morning into the scriptures and talk about verses that have been really personal and helpful

to us in our journey.

So we're at least going to do this for January, and then we'll see where we go from there.

We're going to jump right in.

Today's scripture is Isaiah 6.8.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us?

And I said, here am I. Send me.

He said, go and tell this people, be ever hearing, but never understanding,

be ever seeing, but never perceiving. I thought it was an interesting place that you wanted to start.

And I think that you're very attracted to those epic life transforming moments where God encounters

someone or someone encounters God.

And what attracted me to it as the beginning of the new year is that sometimes we forget

that God is actively working in human history.

And that the way that God works in human history is through people, that he calls us to be a part of his

mission. He invites us to take on as a part of our life, his intention. And, you know, when you think

about God, you think about someone who shouldn't ever, in a sense, ask permission, shouldn't be asking us anything. He should only be

telling us. And, you know, if we're looking at like human frequencies, you think God would just
