When we began 2025, I had a series in mind, a way that we should begin the year.

And that series was specifically about hearing God's voice.

And right as we began that conversation, the city caught fire.

We found our city in desperate condition. Altadena, Pacific Palisades, the smoke we were all breathing in together was a constant reminder of the crisis that we all lived inside of.

And we stood through that and our community showed up and we served our city and we took

care of each other. And yet when I look back, I realize that so much of what I wanted us to step

into, we lost. Sometimes you have to pivot because life is unexpected. And so in some unexpected

series of conversations, we step back and asked ourselves, what should we begin this year with? And having forgotten that last year,
