The race is on, and Hasse returnee, Kevin Magnerson celebrated his return to the F1 cockpit

by topping the second day of testing in Bahrain. But with just one day of running left,

are we any closer to knowing the competitive order? I'm Ed Straw and joining me

to answer that question and many more are Scott Mitchell and Mark Hughes. Well, Magnuson's

fastest time was a one minute 33.207 seconds set on the C4 Pirelli's, which was the tire used by

all of the top four today. Carlos Sites was second for Ferrari, 0.325 second slower, with Max Verstappen, half a second

further back for Red Bull, and Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll, just a few hundreds behind.

And in fifth, we had Lewis Hamilton for Mercedes, the only driver to set his best time

on the C5 compound, and he was just 0.130 seconds slower than Vestappen.

So Scott, you've been paying close attention to Kevin Magnuson today. So how did he come to set the pace?

Yeah, I think it's just a sign of the driver that he's grown into in his time away from Formula One

and also just an indication of just how good

the Hass VF22 is of clearly the amount of work that they did last year as absolutely paid

dividends so I think they're going to have a really fruitful season together. Stop, stop, it's getting

silly, that's just silly. We did this yesterday as well. Scott makes a ridiculous prediction based on whoever's fastest.
