And quick as a flash, Formula One's pre-season testing is in their history books, with Max

Verstappen, but in car number one, in position one on the timing screens on the final day

of running in Bahrain.

So has Red Bulls' late sidepot upgrade given it the edge,

overview of the top of the timesheets, for Stappan's time of 1 minute 31.720 seconds, was set on the C5 compound,

late in the day under the floodlights here in Bahrain. That put him comfortably fastest,

although Hasse driver Mick Schumacher did put in a sneaky lap during their extra two hours

of running at the end of the day to go second. Next up was Fernando Alonzo for Alpine, just under

a second off the pace and also

on C4s with George Russell within a tenth of him in fourth and on the C5s. Scott, we'll start off

with you simply because you were watching trackside at turn 10 when everyone was doing the quick

times, including Vastappen. So Vastappen's time on the the time sheets was pretty good. How did it look in person?

It looked really, really good track side. Obviously, I saw that Max came through on the, on the

softest tyres, so you were all kind of hoping that we were going to see something proper and not just

some kind of, you know, meaningless late correlation run or something where he just

comes through a few times at low speed. And I'd been out there for a little while when Max

hit the track in that form. I'd been watching Lando Norris, Sebastian Vetto and Nicholas Latifi doing quite long runs.

And they were all on C2 or C3 tyres, the medium and the hards.

So when Vestappan came through, it was always going to be a step up from what I saw before,
