I'm feeling a bit nervous. Last night, we thought this entire episode might have to be torn up because America was about to attack Iran. That prospect receded. And then about two minutes before we were due to start, we received word that Kemi Badenock has spectacularly sacked

Robert Jenrick from the shadow cabinet because he was plotting to defect to reform and while he was

about it, damage the Conservative Party. I'm only paraphrasing what she said. Tell me how you feel

right now and how important this story is. Well, okay, let's try and disentangle those two things.

How do I feel right now?

Look, when you're a reporter and a story drops like this, it is like a vault of electricity goes through you.

I mean, the adrenaline surges.

So just to kind of let a little bit of light onto the process, a peek behind the curtain, if you will, as we were about to record, John, I just got a text on what is normally

a very bland WhatsApp group. It is called CCHQ lines, CCHQ standing for Conservative Central

Headquarters lines. And these are just usually bland press releases that go out to every
