Summary

Not every voice in your life carries the wisdom of heaven.Day 7 of the Stand for Your Marriage Challenge is about wise, godly counsel. In a painful season, many spouses are surrounded by voices, opinions, reactions, and advice. But not every voice heals. Not every voice builds. Not every voice carries truth. Some counsel strengthens covenant. Some counsel quietly harms it.In this teaching, we help you discern the difference and anchor your heart in the voice of God above every other influence.Today’s challenge will help you:— discern between counsel that heals and counsel that harms— recognize voices that pull you out of alignment— pursue wisdom rooted in God— anchor your heart above emotional opinions— stand with clearer discernment and directionIf the voices around you are not rooted in God, they will not help you stand well.

Today is going to be a little bit more brief than the first six days so we can send you off well and with confidence and security and the things that you have learned this week.

in the revelation and understanding and really uncover the heart behind not only the standing

spouse devotional, but just really our heart for marriages and what's

1:24.9

his son Jesus to create a path back to the restoration of covenant.

1:30.7

So this time, this vow of consecration, it means something a little bit more because you're making

1:36.8

the decision not rashly, not hastily, with the record of wrongs and with the memories that I am for my marriage in the same way

1:46.3

that my father is for my covenant. But we have to remember, and the Bible talks about it all

1:52.8

throughout the New Testament, not all counsel is godly counsel. And it comes in all forms,

right? Friends, family, counselors, therapists, all of the above, co-workers, any type of relationship.

2:04.3

Some of you all get a little, you know, dare I say, enmeshed, which is a worldly term with your adult children, right?
