Welcome to Av Talk episode 7, the day it has been.

Jason, I don't know about you, but I definitely picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.

Oh, it's been a day.

Even from just work, we had a board meeting and then a whole bunch of news and then the government

started meddling with air traffic control and it just kind of went downhill from there.

Yeah, so we're recording Monday the 5th of June and it's just passed in UTC it's just past in UTC, it's just past midnight on the 6th of June.

And we've got all sorts of flyover bands and landing and takeoff bands going into place affecting

guitar. Domestically here we had a long day with the proposal for air traffic control in the United States to be privatized and taken away from the Federal Aviation Administration.

That plan has just come out.

We're still looking into all the particulars such as they are and we want to do we want to talk about it but we want to talk about it and do the topics of justice.

So in the intervening two weeks after this episode we're going to get together

with some folks who know a lot more about this topic than we do and we're going to bring you a much more focused and in-depth conversation about air traffic control privatization in our next episode in episode 8.

That's right. Just the clear episode of confusion before we leave that topic, nothing actually happened today.

The federal government revealed its intent to do this thing that's been proposed and almost done in the past,

but the signing today didn't actually do anything. They actually

have to pass legislation and you know do the whole government process thing so the signing today

really didn't do anything but it sets the stage for what they want to do.

Right, right. There was a mock bill signing.

It's unclear to me what was actually the president signed something, but I think

he drew a, he drew an airplane. signed something, but it's unclear to me exactly what.

She drew an airplane, I think.

You know, I would be okay with that.
