Well, thanks for joining us today. I'm John Fuller, along with Greg Smalley and his wife, Aaron, who lead the Focus Marriage team.

On a recent focus on a family with Jim Daly's show, Jim was talking with Dave and Ashley Willis.

And they began this clip talking about couples who reached these anniversary milestones, and then they

turned a corner and dealt with something that is, frankly, keeping marriages from experiencing

joy and, frankly, destroying a lot of marriages.

Let's listen in.

One of the joys I have is occasionally I'll catch wind or somebody at Focus will know about

a couple who supports the ministry

having their 50th of course, but 65. I think I signed one in the last couple of weeks. It was

their 70th. Wow. That's amazing. Amazing. That's awesome. That's how I actually signed the PS. Wow.

I know. I can't believe you got to 70 years married. Keep going. But what a great

example. I always try to write. What a great example you are to those around you, those who love you,

that you stayed committed. What would be the must-haves for the couples, I mean, hopefully all

of us who want to get to the end together, whether it's 20 years or 50 years or 70,

and I'm looking forward to signing that 75th.

That's rare because people don't typically live that long.

But what an incredible, not just tradition, but a monument to the Lord for those kids, the grandkids, the great-grandkids.

Yes, yes.

But what are the must-haves to get there?

Well, I would say start with listening to the daily broadcast to focus on the family.
