Aloha and welcome to Amen podcast. Today we will be studying from Matthew chapter 21 verses 23 through 27.

Let's read. And when he entered the temple, the chief priest and the elders of the people came up to him as he was teaching and said,

By what authority are you doing these things and who gave you this authority?

Jesus answered them.

I also will ask you one question, and if you tell me the answer, then I also will tell you what, by what authority I do these things.

The baptism of John, from where did it come? From heaven or from man? And they discussed it among themselves

saying, if we say from heaven, he will say to us, why then did you not believe him? But if we say from man, we are afraid of the crowd,

for they all hold that John, excuse me, was a prophet. So they answered Jesus, we do not know.

And he said to them, neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things. Amen. Can't wait to get

into this text with you guys. A couple weeks ago, we went to coffee and there was a young lady

with like three boys there. And I couldn't figure out if that, if she was their mom or their

nanny, but it was soon pretty obvious. One of the kids threw a fit an enormous tantrum.

Like the biggest I've ever seen in person and the biggest I've seen even in fiction.

Like I've never even seen a tantrum this big in like movies and books and stuff like that.

To the point where like I could not sit there any longer.

Like I feel like it was my duty as a man to like exert some kind of authority over this child and like be a man you know and be like

dude listen to your mom you know but I found out she's the nanny and I kind of figured like I'm

like this is like I feel like he wouldn't be acting like this if it was his mom.

And then she said something.

She's like, I'm going to talk to your mom, your parents about this.

But it was a crazy case of gentle parenting gone wrong, you know, which is where all gentle parenting is going.
