Near where the expectation is, Aukus will be underway soon enough with nuclear-powered

submarines in the possession of the Royal Australian Navy, but right now we're dealing with build up immediately.

The Navy will expand to 26 warships reports to Financial Times, including 11 new frigates,

six new large vessels with long-range missile capability.

And Canberra means to toughen its military response to rising regional tension.

That's a long way around saying China, China.

We've talked of Australia's part of Aukus for some time.

This looks like it augments Aukus, but it's spending a lot of money and

recruiting a lot of young people and I'm going to suppose it also means increasing

the industrial base of Australia. Is this all good news for the
