But I am reporting from the past at the Senate Political Grill at the United Center in Chicago, right after things have kind of wrapped.

President Joe Biden gave a career first speech tonight, finally passing the torch

officially to his vice president Kamala Harris, who came out and surprised the crowd at the very

beginning of prime time saying hello to her party.

She's the standard bear now. He was joined on stage by some of the

biggest names in the Democratic Party, people like Hillary Clinton, the 2016 nominee, AOC, and Golden

State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, for all you basketball heads out there. But joining me now to

talk about Biden's big speech and really the vibes here in Chicago

for a party that is passing the torch from the guy who just a month ago was going to be

the nominee to his vice president.

Is Amy Walter, who I snatched up at the scene in the political group.

Just so convincing.

You are, you're very, you are hard to say no to.

It's the dimples.

You're impossible to say no to.

So this is technically the first night of the DNC that we all have been here for at least a day or two.

Right.
